Gas cylinder blast injures three workers

Three workers suffered serious burns on Saturday when a cooking gas cylinder exploded at their labour camp in Al Jazeera Al Hamra.

Ras Al Khaimah: Three workers suffered serious burns on Saturday when a cooking gas cylinder exploded at their labour camp in Al Jazeera Al Hamra.

Civil Defence Department sources said the three injured men, two Indians and a Bangladeshi, were taken to Saqr Hospital where they were admitted to intensive care.

The sources said the gas cylinder exploded in the camp's kitchen and the authorities have begun an investigation into the cause.

Following the explosion a fire spread to some parts of the camp.

Firefighters brought the fire under control and submitted a report to the police.
