Flights from UAE to Bangkok suspended

Dubai: All flights from the UAE to Bangkok's international airport remain suspended until further notice as anti-government protesters continue their demonstrations in the Thai capital.
Emirates and Etihad Airways have cancelled all their services to Bangkok's Suvarnabhumi airport where thousands of supporters of the People's Alliance for Democracy (PAD) have descended on the terminal in their boldest move yet to oust the government. Thai Airways have suspended all flights until 6pm on Thursday.
Pasan Teparak, the Thai Consul-General in Dubai, told Gulf News yesterday the authorities were doing their best to address passengers' concerns.
"The government and airlines are taking care of the passengers. They're bussing them into hotels. We are trying to be a good host [despite the political turmoil]," he said.
