Expatriate businessman nominated to apex Indian council
An expatriate businessman in the UAE has been inducted to Indian Prime Minister's Global Advisory Council of People of Indian Origin.
Abu Dhabi: An expatriate businessman in the UAE has been inducted to Indian Prime Minister's Global Advisory Council of People of Indian Origin.
M.A. Yusuffali, Managing Director of Emke Group and a director board member of Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce and Industry, will be a member of the council to be headed by the Prime Minister of India. The Government of India constituted the council to draw upon the experience and knowledge of eminent people of Indian origin in diverse fields across the world.
The council will include the Indian Minister of External Affairs, Minister of Overseas Indian Affairs, Principal Secretary to the Prime Minister and an elite panel of prominent Indians such as Nobel laureate Dr Amartya Sen, Industrialist Lakshmi Mittal, Corporate Executive Indira Nooyi, Peace activist Ela Gandhi, Former UN Under-Secretary-General Diplomat Sashi Tharoor and technocrat Sam Pitroda , apart from Yusuffali.
