Abu Dhabi: In an attempt to create future media leaders, a series of seminars, Young National Press Leaders (YNPL), are currently being held with over 40 students attending. It is a joint project between Zayed University, the Higher Colleges of Technology (HCT) and UAE University.
This new educational initiative is under the auspicious of the Abu Dhabi Music and Arts Foundation (ADMAF) and the Abu Dhabi Authority for Culture and Heritage (ADACH).
ADMAF is a non-profit organisation established in 1996, under the patronage of Shaikh Nahyan Bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, to promote classical music, art and education among residents and UAE nationals in Abu Dhabi.
According to Hoda Kanoo, Founder of ADMAF, the aim of the programme is to involve young nationals in the process of writing, reading and reporting and encourage them to take up communication, media and journalism professionally.
