Dubai: An interactive map of Dubai will be launched during GITEX 2008, which will be held from 19 to 23 October 2008 at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre.
Dubai Municipality's Geographical Information Systems Department will unveil the map.
According to Mohammad Abdullah Al Zaffine, director of the department, the map, 'Takamul', is an electronic service that offers an interactive, comprehensive and high quality map consisting of geographic features and attributes of Dubai.
"One of the key features of this service is that it adds a significant value to the existing electronic services and desktop applications. The service can be incorporated within any e-service or any application without the need for prior knowledge of GIS application programming," said Al Zaffine.
