Dubai hotel eyes new world record
Dubai's Marco Polo Hotel is attempting to break the world record for longest wooden chopsticks, which is currently held by China's Shenyang province.

Dubai: Dubai's Marco Polo Hotel is attempting to break the world record for longest wooden chopsticks, which is currently held by China's Shenyang province.
The Dubai entry is set to break China's record wooden chopsticks by more than 2 feet. China's pair of chopsticks measures 20 feet and 7.8 inches.
The record bid is being held to coincide with the Dubai Shopping Festival, said Sunil Marya, vice president and general manager.
"The encouragement we are getting from people is fantastic. We are coming up with chopsticks that will surely beat China's record," Marya said.
