Campaign to conserve electricity and water
A campaign will be held next month to encourage residents to save water and electricity, a senior official said yesterday.
Sharjah: A campaign will be held next month to encourage residents to save water and electricity, a senior official said yesterday.
"We have sufficient water supply in Sharjah and in order to sustain progress, we urge residents not to waste water unnecessarily," said Abdul Rahman Al Salman, spokesperson of Sharjah Electricity and Water Authority (Sewa).
The campaign will be held from March 4-7 in Sharjah, and several activities will be held respectively at Qanat Al Qasba in order to raise the awareness about conserving water and electricity. The conservation campaign is the third of its kind, and is an annual event.
"There has been a significant decrease in the amount of complaints on our emergency hotline number due to an improvement in our services," said Al Salman.
