Blaze at Dubai labour housing facility

Dubai: Three people were treated for minor suffocation in a fire that broke out at labour portakabins in a building currently under construction in Al Nahda area on Wednesday afternoon.

A Dubai Civil Defence spokesperson said the fire broke out at around 3.30pm and the portakabins were evacuated for the safety of labourers.

Three labourers were treated and the fire was under control in less than half an hour.
