Bangladesh's Victory Day celebrated
The 35th Victory Day of Bangladesh was celebrated yesterday at the Embassy in Abu Dhabi.
Dubai: The 35th Victory Day of Bangladesh was celebrated yesterday at the Embassy in Abu Dhabi.
Ambassador Nazimullah Chowdhury raised the flag in the presence of officials from Bangladesh Biman, Janata Bank, teachers and students of the Bangladesh Islamia School and a large number of Bangladeshi community members living in the UAE.
The message from the President and Chief Adviser of the caretaker government of Bangladesh, Prof. Dr. Iajuddin Ahmad, was read out by Mohammad Shahid Bakhtiar Alam, Counsellor at the embassy.
The ambassador highlighted the significance of the day.
He urged expatriates to work hard for materialising the dream of the martyrs to build a prosperous Bangladesh.
