Google has released its yearly report on the top search terms around the world: the fastest rising queries for the UAE included Facebook, Obama, Atlantis and Emirates ID.

Dubai: Google has released its yearly report on the top search terms around the world: the fastest rising queries for the UAE included Facebook, Obama, Atlantis and Emirates ID.
The annual Zeitgeist gives an insight into the year's hottest trends regarding global searches for the UAE and 35 other countries.
Around the world, the fastest rising queries included Sarah Palin, Beijing 2008, Facebook, and Euro 2008.
Fastest rising restaurant queries in the UAE included Al Mahara, Frankies, Automatic and Kamat.
While UAE residents were interested in Hawaii and the Maldives as holiday destinations, top Arabic queries remained largely regional, with Fujairah, Lebanon and Salalah in the top ten.
Interestingly, the most popular queries in the UAE were Dubai, UAE itself, The Emirates, YouTube and news.
