Dubai: Lebanese pop star Haifa Wehbe was in Dubai Monday for the Stars’ Auction organised by the Rashid Paediatric Therapy Centre.
According to Lebanese daily Lel Nasher, over 40 prominent Arab celebrities in sports, film, and music will be present at the charity auction, which aims to help the centre develop its children’s facilities and open new paediatric departments.
Confirmed guests include Egyptian actress Fifi Abdu, Iraqi singer Shatha Hassun, and Emirati singers Al Sayez Al Saeed and Aryam, and many more. Wehbe is expected to provide a luxurious collection of her watches and jewellery to be sold in the auction tonight at the Madinat Jumeirah Hotel.
A photograph captured and signed by Shaikh Hamdan Bin Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, will also be auctioned at the price of Dh100,000.
All funds raised will help support the centre in developing programmes for children with special needs.
Other items expected to be auctioned include: a signed montage by Elvis Presley and Lady Diana, signed gloves by Muhammad Ali, and a signed boot by Cristiano Ronaldo.
