Anti-H1N1 flu drive launched
The Ministry of Health (MoH) and the Emirates Mobile Hospital, have launched today the National Comprehensive Preventive Campaign against the H1N1 virus strain, more popularly known as swine flu, in strategic partnership and cooperation with public institutions and private corporations, the UAE’s official news agency WAM reported.

Abu Dhabi : The Ministry of Health (MoH) and the Emirates Mobile Hospital, have launched today the National Comprehensive Preventive Campaign against the H1N1 virus strain, more popularly known as swine flu, in strategic partnership and cooperation with public institutions and private corporations, the UAE's official news agency WAM reported.
The two-month nationwide preventive campaign is in line with the national programme for emergency medical response against swine flu and other diseases, said a senior official.
Dr Ali Shakr, Director General of the MoH and chairman of the anti-swine flu technical committee, said the campaign comes in line with efforts to curb the spread of contagious diseases.
He also stressed the importance of the preventive campaign to educate the community, particularly the age groups most susceptible to diseases such as children and elderly.
