Activities in store for UAE National Day
Hordes of colourful and glittering activities are underway all across the country to mark the 36th UAE National Day on Sunday.
Dubai: Hordes of colourful and glittering activities are underway all across the country to mark the 36th UAE National Day on Sunday.
More than 5,000 flags will be distributed in different areas on National Day.
At Dubai's Creek Park, different activities will be organized from 4pm to 8pm. A People's Parade will be held in the park. The parade will also feature traditional dances.
Artist Hussain Al Jasmi will also perform starting 9pm.
At the Children's City, helium balloons, which collectively take the shape of the UAE flag, will be released at 4pm.
The Dubai Naturalisation and Residency Department staff will greet the visitors with exclusive National Day cards, placed inside their passports after stamping.

In Sharjah, the Qanat Al Qasba is all decked up to mark the occasion. Activities will also be held in the emirate.
Staff members of the Sharjah International Airport have begun greeting visitors with flowers, sweets, gifts and small UAE flags.
