Abu Dhabi: A 68-year-old Bahraini man was killed and five others were injured, including an eight-year-old girl, when their car overturned on Ghuwaifat international road near Rowais city on Thursday.
Major Ahmad Abdullah Al Shamsi, head of the Traffic and Patrols Section in the Western Region, said the accident was caused due to the driver's fatigue.
Speed limits
The car skidded suddenly and hit the trees on the road island before overturning. The injured were taken to Rowais hospital for treatment.
Al Shamsi called on all drivers to be careful and not exceed speed limits.
Drivers must stop if they feel tired or sleepy, for their own safety and the safety of other road users, he said.
