Innovation and initiative are two of the hallmarks that characterise Gulf News and it is with this pioneering spirit that the paper undertook its most recent and highly successful 'Go Green' campaign.
The 'Go Green' campaign reiterated the paper's commitment towards enhancing the awareness of an eco-friendly environment, through its dedicated editorial. Gulf News also celebrated its 30th year with the 'Go Green' pledge and distributed over 200,000 specially commissioned jute bags to its subscribers.
Although it is difficult and indeed not practical to avoid non-eco friendly practices in today's commercial world, Gulf News took a large step towards this, quite a few years ago in using recycled paper, well before 'recycling' became the big commitment that it now is.
