Dubai: A motor accessories specialist is saving up to three million gallons of fresh water every year by recycling its car wash usage.
Yellow Hat, which uses advanced technology to reuse car wash water, opened its first Middle East branch in Dubai earlier this year.
Graham Markwick, Yellow Hat's UAE General Manager, said: "Through this technology, we use far less fresh water than most conventional car washes, restaurants and other water users, and consequently send far less to municipal sewers."
He said because they clean the water before discharging non-recoverable volumes, this reduces immensely the burden on the municipal sewer systems.
