Dubai: Rain has been forecast for Tuesday and will herald the winter season. Temperatures are expected to come down further in the coming days.
The rain that has been experienced over the last week has seen children playing in puddles and people coming out of their homes to view the scenes.
A duty forecaster at the Dubai Meteorological Office, said: "It could rain at any time. The air trough that we have had for the last couple of days is set to continue for another five, so there is a chance of showers throughout the National Day celebrations period."
Some flooding was experienced after last week's rain, although it was soon dispersed.
Abu Dhabi and the Northern Emirates are expected to have similar chances of rain on Tuesday. Temperatures on Tuesday will reach a maximum of 26-27C, with a minimum of 19C in Dubai and average humidity across the UAE is set to be around 55 per cent.
However, although a Shamal wind built up last night, there is no expectation of dust clouds blowing around because of the rain. Visibility on the roads over the holiday period is set to be good.
