ViewSonic Middle East, a provider of visual display products, has launched a new campaign focused on conducting business the green way.
Revolutionising the manufacture and distribution of liquid-crystal-display monitors, projectors and other merchandise, the company designs energy-efficient items and ensures that a minimum amount of waste ends up in landfills.
A power-saving "Eco mode," provided on most ViewSonic products released after July 2008 offers energy savings of up to 56 per cent.
The company's TVs and digital signage also use up to 40 per cent less electricity.
This means smaller electricity bills for the common man and a load off their backs.
Just as significant is the fact that it signals a great leap forward for the electronics industry.
According to its website, ViewSonic intends to help cut carbon dioxide emissions by 354,000 metric tons next year.
