Reader composes song to free Sammy
A passion for music and a talent for writing helped Gulf News reader Sreenath Somanath create a soundtrack for Sammy the Shark - which has been captivity in Atlantis aquarium for the last 39 days.

Dubai: A passion for music and a talent for writing helped Gulf News reader Sreenath Somanath create a soundtrack for Sammy the Shark - which has been captivity in Atlantis aquarium for the last 39 days.

The 25-year-old Indian expatriate, decided to be a part of the campaign after reading about it in the newspaper. "I did not think sending a picture would be enough contribution. I wanted to do something more," he said.
Somanath uploaded the song on a blog, and hoped it would encourage more people to show their support.
