Municipality launches agricultural projects
527 trees will be planted in two areas as part of the initiative.
Dubai: A number of agricultural and aesthetic projects were launched by Dubai Municipality on Wednesday.
Trees will be planted in the Umm Al Shief street, Al Thaniya and Al Quoz garden lake as part of Dubai Municipality Afforestation Week on March 28.
The launching was attended by Abdullah Rafei, Assistant Director General of the Dubai Municipality Department for Environment and Public Health Affairs. Parts of the project will be the expansion of a 5.1 hectare green area, where 527 trees will be planted in two areas.
Breathing space
Dubai Municipality will also launch Al Ghusais Lake project today, which will be a breathing space for the whole vicinity of Al Ghusais and nearby areas.
