Al Ain: Moderate to heavy rain is expected to lash UAE from Friday.
Weathermen expect thundershowers and wind to hit the country; temperature will also dip three to four degree Celsius.
Cold air from the Mediterranean basin is influencing the weather in the GCC region.
Dr S.K. Gupta from Dubai Meteorological Department said the unsettled weather is expected to hit the UAE on Thursday night or Friday morning. "We are expecting rain on Friday and Saturday in most areas of the UAE," he said.
It will be partly cloudy to cloudy, he said, adding that the skies will clear by Sunday.
The National Centre of Meteorology and Seismology (NCMS) said wind could kick up dust in open areas and the sea will be rough with six to eight feet high waves.
People going out to the sea have been advised to be cautious.
