Dubai: The civic body is retraining its staff through the World Society for the Protection of Animals (WSPA), to better protect animals from any risk due to bad housing, malnutrition and other risks.
In the first meeting held yesterday between the two authorities, the emphasis was on the exchange of knowledge where officials from Dubai Municipality will visit the WSPA headquarters in Britain to learn about developments and other available programmes.
“We also discussed a proposed plan for the training and development of technical staff on the basics of inspection, in addition to the technical support that can be provided by WSPA for the development and sustainability of private farms after necessary improvements and giving maximum benefit to their owners,” said Hashim Al Awadi, head of the Veterinary Section.
