Southern desert winds are causing reduced visibility in Dubai.
Dubai: Southern desert winds are causing reduced visibility in Dubai.
According to Dubai's Meteorological Office, visibility has been reduced to 6km in urban areas, but is as low as 3km in desert areas.
A sandstorm will miss Dubai due to an expected change in wind direction on Wednesday afternoon - dust and sand whipped up by the wind will be causing a hazard until then.
Motorists driving close to sandy and rural areas will be most affected.
