Abu Dhabi: The Abu Dhabi Municipality and Agriculture Department is in the process of finalising a new list detailing types of violations and punitive measures for violating the general cleanliness of the city, said municipality officials.
"The fines that were in place before were set by higher authorities," said Mohammad Khalaf Al Mazroui, Head of Operations and Maintenance, Public Gardens Directorate.
"Now they are going to be studied again." Violations in public parks and gardens include accidents causing damage to trees, vandalism, cutting trees, and garbage left lying around.
"It seems that our people are not prepared to respect municipal assets yet," said Al Mazroui.
