The campaign comes as part of the RTA's commitment to promoting health and occupational safety among its workers deployed at its various construction projects.
Addressing a huge gathering of employees working on the Dubai Metro, Mattar Al Tayer, Chairman of the Board and Executive Director of the RTA, paid tribute to their hard work and efforts in completing the prestigious Metro project on time.
"The RTA commends your work for extended hours; particularly during the daytime under soaring temperatures. We will always remain keen on providing a healthy environment for labourers at all our sites," he said.
Al Tayer was accompanied by Abdul Majeed Al Khaja, CEO of the RTA's Rail Agency and Eisa Abdullah Al Ghurair, Vice-President of ETA Star Holding LLC.
Al Tayer also gave workers some safety tips.
The campaign will run for a week and Rail Agency employees will take part in a number of activities including the distribution of water, refreshments and dehydration salts among workers at the various Dubai Metro construction sites.

It's a spectacular sight to see the Demo Trains being operated as of now. I believe, Dubai Metro will be a successful project once it starts in full fledged operation. Economically suits the needs of middle class people who are in greater ratio in Dubai and look forward for many more projects in future which suits middle class people living in Dubai. Best of Luck to all and a 'Big Thank U' to the Government.

Nice to hear abt this campaing. but pls make sure this not just fr the Dubai Metro workers. All the workers working in the hot weather are giving the same contribution no matter it is for different projects. one needs special attention in this bad weather.
