Dubai: The three scaffolding collapses which killed at least six people in January have raised key safety questions in construction sites in the country.

A random survey of construction sites in Dubai, however, proved that many still do not adhere to the Code of Construction Safety Practice that has been put in place by the Dubai Municipality.

Risk control manager Greg Leader, who pointed out the faulty construction practices to Gulf News, stressed that the government should not wait for another accident to happen before taking action.

He further said that all the mishaps boiled down to a lack of safety training.
