The 6th American University of Sharjah (AUS) Inter-Collegiate Debating Championship got underway yesterday with 20 universities competing for the winners’ trophy. It is being organised by the university’s Debate Club, under the patronage of the Office of Student Affairs.
This is no place for the faint-hearted since to reach the finals, teams have to debate their way through the gruelling knock-outs, quarter- and semi-finals. The finals will be held on November 24 followed by a gala dinner.
For more information on the competition, please email debateclub@aus.edu.
