Sultan receives Cambridge varsity team
American University of Sharjah to have academic and research cooperation with institution.

Sharjah: His Highness Dr Shaikh Sultan Bin Mohammad Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, and President of the American University of Sharjah, yesterday received Professor Alison Richard, Vice-Chancellor of the University of Cambridge, and the delegation accompanying her.
They discussed cooperation between the AUS and the University of Cambridge in academic and scientific research fields.
The Ruler briefed the visiting British academic delegation on the history of the AUS and its achievements since its inception in 1997.
The AUS was founded by the Ruler of Sharjah as an independent, non-profitable educational institution which offers 22 bachelor's degrees, 39 minors and eight master's degrees programmes.
Later, the delegation toured the university campus and its various colleges.
