The programme, which is to be run by the Al Maktoum Institute for Arabic and Islamic studies in Scotland on January 2009, will train the university students on national identity and key global issues, with an emphasis on the history, culture, and traditions of Scotland in the contemporary world.
Dr Sulaiman Al Jasem, Vice President of Zayed University, stressed that Al Maktoum Institute focuses on advancing cooperation between both countries. "This programme will help educate the next generation of scholars - both nationally and internationally and enable them to face the challenges and opportunities of today," said Al Jasem.
