Dubai Schools Inspection Bureau (DSIB) put the first inspection summary reports onto the Knowledge and Human Development Authority's (KHDA's) website (www.khda.gov.ae) on Thursday morning.
Click on the links below for Dubai School Inspection Report lists in full:
The report classifies schools into four performance categories - outstanding, good, acceptable and unsatisfactory.
Outstanding schools are: Jumeirah College (A Branch of Premier Schools International LLC), Jumeirah English Speaking School, Jumeirah English Speaking School (Branch), Kings Dubai.
And the unsatisfactory schools include: Arab Unity School, DEANS International School, Grammar School, Star International School-Al Twar, The Oxford School, Al Ameen Pvt. School.
The reports from the first batch of 69 schools, which were inspected, also highlight key findings from the inspections, particularly the strengths of the school and recommendations for improvement.
Are you satisfied with the results? Are you planning to move your childrent to a different school based on these results? Are the fee increases justified after the evaluations?
Well done. This finding may help to do better, for unacceptable schools. at least now they have to concentrate on curriculam and selecting teachers. Thank you.

Mr. Nisar Hussain, said that the school in Dubai are the most advanced in the world, i'm sorry but you are wrong. During my school life our family moved a lot, i've had the oppurtunity to go to school in london and in pakistan and in UAE and in my experience UAE was the worst.

This is definetly a step in the right direction for the Education System in Dubai. As far as Dubai schools being the "most" advanced in the world I guess the reports speak for themselves...

As a prior student of one of the 'unacceptable' schools, I'm glad that the authorities are finally taking steps to raise the standards of education.

Good job DSIB! I received my education in Dubai and I can say, for one, that the list makes perfect sense to me. I am glad that schools in Dubai are finally being evaluated for quality as this has been long overdue. Hopefully, the grading will be extended across the board to cover all schools on an annual basis so parents can make more informed decisions.

Good to see that this initiative has been taken up. But why only for Dubai. I believe this survey/tests should have been carried on all over UAE and then the results would have had more weightage.

I am glad to see that Dubai has decided to allow parents the opportunity to select a school based on its performance record. I hope other emirates will also have similar reports. It is long over due.

Its sad to see almost 95% of the private school students cant't speak Arabic. This is a major flaw in the education system. I wouldn't be surprised if in a few years time, all private school students won't even know a complete sentence in Arabic.
