Many education providers unaware of new group
Many private school providers are still in the dark about the Dubai Private School Group (DPSG), which is being formed under the aegis of the Dubai Chamber.
Dubai: Many private school providers are still in the dark about the Dubai Private School Group (DPSG), which is being formed under the aegis of the Dubai Chamber.
They said they were not consulted by the founding members, and have no idea about the group's objectives. Sunil John, spokesperson for the DPSG, said the Dubai Chamber is still in the process of inviting private school operators.
He added founding members, including a number of Dubai schools and providers, participated in the first three rounds of meetings.
Other providers said they are not associated with the group. "Our chief financial officer attended an informative session. We decided not to be associated with the group as of now, but to wait and see ... We are not part of the founding members and have no details about the group," Bassam Abu Shakra, Regional Director of ESOL that owns two schools in Dubai, told Gulf News.
Choeifat and Delhi Private School refused to comment.
