Kerala Board results bring cheer to UAE pupils
The tenth grade results of the Kerala Board (SSLC ) brought cheer to pupils on Tuesday across the UAE.
Abu Dhabi/Dubai: The tenth grade results of the Kerala Board (SSLC ) brought cheer to pupils on Tuesday across the UAE.
About 612 pupils out of 629 from 13 schools in the country qualified for higher studies. Only 17 pupils need improvement to qualify for higher studies. "The introduction of the 9 point absolute grading system, based on the latest attitudes towards education, has rejuvenated the academic arena. It aims not only at a good score in the exams but at the wholesome development of the pupils also,'' said K. Mohammad Ali, Principal at the New Indian Model School Al Ain.
About 11 pupils at the Model School in Abu Dhabi scored A+ [90 per cent and above] in all 10 papers and 20 pupils scored A+ in 9 papers. The school achieved hundred per cent results. About 100 pupils appeared in the exams from the school. Anju Mohan, Afifa Abdul Kader and Farhana Basheer are the top achievers. New Indian Model School in Dubai, where the highest number of pupils [117] appeared in the exam in the UAE also got a hundred per cent results.
Gulf Model School in Dubai which sent 68 pupils to the exams also achieved a hundred per cent results. Sumitaha Saseendran [10A+], Araya Bosco [9A+] and Gevi Asok [9A+] are the top achievers.
New Indian Model School in Al Ain, achieved cent per cent results. Devi Gopika, Nayana Melath Babu and Miss Kukoo Subiraj were top scorers with A+ in all 10 subjects.
Al Majd English School in Dubai secured cent per cent results. Ajmal Roshan, Thaseeba Banu, Farzana, Mohammad Nadeer and Sulfiyath secured full A+ grades.
The New Indian Model School Sharjah, Crescent English School Dubai, The New Indian School Umm Al Quwain, East English School, Umm Al Quwain and Al Manal Private School, Ras Al Khaimah also achieved cent per cent results.
