Dubai: Emirates Airline Festival of Literature’s team members will be speaking at the Host Cities summit this week along with other international speakers.
The three-day event being held from November 25 to 27 aims to bring together heads of sporting bodies and events groups from past, present and future host cities where they dispense advice on several topics concerning large-scale events.
Thirty international speakers including Emirates Airline Festival of Literature’s Festival Director Isobel Abulhoul and Assistant Director Yvette Judge have been chosen to speak at the summit this year.
“We are looking forward to participating in the summit. With Dubai hosting the Expo 2020, it is the ideal place and time to discuss the changing global impression of this city. It will be an educational experience for us and a great opportunity to exchange ideas with our peers in the field from across the globe,” Abulhoul said.
Abulhoul will discuss the festival’s growth and subsequent success at a panel titled “How Do You Create and Incubate Home Grown Events that Fit Your City Strategy?” while Yvette Judge will conduct a workshop, along with other host cities, on creating events to attract international audiences while benefiting the local community.
