The announcement came in a circular issued by Mohammad Salem Al Daheri, Exceutive Director of the School Sector at the council.
Al Daheri urged parents to abide by the specified enrolment period, to make it easy for schools and their administrations as well as for their children.Prompt enrollment will help schools meet their enrolment capacity and their needs without disruption or delay.

According to the circular, the enrolment for Emiratis whose parents hold family registration documents must take place in nurseries and schools close to their homes.
The admission age for children to start schooling in nurseries is between three-and-a-half years and four-and-a-half years so as to be enrolled in KG1, while children aged between four-and-a-half years and five-and-a-half years would start in KG2.
