Artists happy to lend a hand for charity campaign
Artistes praised Dubai Cares campaign and said they would be happy to lend a hand in encouraging people to donate.
Dubai: Artistes praised Dubai Cares campaign and said they would be happy to lend a hand in encouraging people to donate.
Dr Najat Makki, an artist, said: "I think it's the first time in history such a campaign has been organised. It reflects Islamic values. All sections of society are taking part in the campaign because it's about building knowledge, even children can donate five dirhams as they see the promotion everywhere and everybody is talking about it. Artists are supporting the campaign and I think there will be more workshops devoted to the drive."
Dr Habib Ghuloum, an actor, said: "I wish there would be a role for artists to convince people to be more active in the campaign, it will encourage people to be a part of the campaign by donating and supporting in different ways."
Abdulla Bilkhar, a singer, said the campaign has achieved its goals and succeeded to bring people's attention to the needy.
