Dubai: A businesswoman sobbed heavily in court when she handed in a written waiver obtained from the parents of her ex-boyfriend, whom prosecutors say she killed.
Distraught, the 26-year-old Kazakh businesswoman, A.F, faced judges at the Dubai Court of First Instance yesterday. "I didn't mean it to happen and God saw what happened… I was fighting for my life and when I quarrelled with him I never imagined myself killing him.

Prosecutors accused A.F. of intentionally murdering her Ukrainian boyfriend, Y.C., by stabbing him with a kitchen knife.
Prosecution records said the woman was in her villa in Umm Suqeim when she had a heated argument with Y.C. before she grabbed a knife and stabbed him in the heart once.
Not stable

"The blood parents believed that it happened accidentally. They have pardoned me and handed me this written waiver," argued A.F. in a weepy voice.
A policeman said they had been contacted about a suicide incident.
Prosecution records said A.F. was not in stable situation due to her shock. Dubai Police's forensic doctor ruled out the probability that Y.C. stabbing himself.
