Woman dies after falling from building in Abu Dhabi

A woman died after falling from the 13th floor of a building on Friday morning, Gulf News has learnt.

Abu Dhabi: A woman died after falling from the 13th floor of a building on Friday morning, Gulf News has learnt.

"The woman, a Filipina, apparently fell off the Eldorado Cinema building at around 10.30am on Friday," a police source said. The building is located on Shaikh Zayed the Second Street, popularly known as the Electra Street.

The source, who requested not to be named, said that the woman's body was found on the ground and that she died of a severe head injury and trauma.

Police are investigating the circumstances of the death.

A number of investigating officers and rescue and ambulance section officials rushed to the spot and the body was removed the within minutes.
