Three men held for generator theft
Suspects say the items were sold off
Sharjah: Three men were arrested by the Police yesterday for allegedly stealing power generators from a commercial warehouse located at Industrial Area number 11.
An official at the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) at Sharjah Police said the robbery was reported to police by the owner of the warehouse.
Investigations led to the arrest of one of the suspects, who confirmed robbing the warehouse with two other accomplices. All the suspects were Pakistanis.
"When they were detained, the three suspects confessed that they stole the generators and also led police to the place where they were hidden before they were sold for a profit," said an official at Sharjah Police.
The suspects will be referred to the public prosecution.
