Three men caught with their hands in the cookie jar
Police arrested three men who decided to obtain their unpaid salaries using their own way.
Dubai: Police arrested three men who decided to obtain their unpaid salaries using their own way.
The three Filipino men identified as R.J., M.P. and D. were arrested for stealing money from the company, which did not pay their salaries for three months.
The incident took place when police received a number of reports of thefts from warehouses and shops in Al Quoz Industrial area.
Dubai Police's Criminal Investigation Department (CID) analysed the reports to find out the methods used in those thefts. The CID intensified patrols and set up security traps in the places they expected to be robbed.
On October 8 at 3:30am, a CID patrol in Al Qouz Industrial area spotted three Filipino men dragging a large suitcase. The CID stopped the men but two of them fled the scene while the third was arrested.
When police opened the suitcase, they found a medium sized metal locker. The culprits had failed in their attempt to break the safe as the metal locker required a password to be opened. The nabbed suspect has been detained, awaiting prosecution.
