Dubai: Three convicts tried to escape when they were brought for a drug test at the anti-narcotics centre in Al Ghusais, Dubai.

The hardened criminals serving jails terms at Central Prison in Dubai were brought to the centre on the suspicion that they were taking drugs. While the drug tests were on, they tried to escape. The police officers on duty tried to stop them. The convicts badly injured one of the officers when they were stopped by the officers from escaping.

Two of the convicts were arrested before they could escape from the centre, but one of them managed to get out. Police followed the convict and was finally arrested from Ras Al Khaimah. Police are conducting further investigation.
