Ras Al Khaimah: A man stabbed a taxi driver in the chest on Thursday after robbing him, and fled the scene.

Police are hunting for the Egyptian suspect. According to a police statement by the 47-year-old Pakistani driver identified as A.K, the Egyptian hired him at a shopping mall to drive him back home.

He asked the driver to give him a ride over the emirate before the taxi reached Khuzzam.

The Egyptian grabbed a knife from his pocket, pointed it to the driver's throat and ordered the victim to give him his money.

The driver gave his passenger all the money he had. Police think the Egyptian wanted to have an easy escape. He stabbed the Pakistani driver in the chest and fled the scene.
