Taxi driver gets three months in jail for molesting girl
12-year-old was being taken to school when incident happened
Dubai: A taxi driver has been jailed for three months for molesting a 12-year-old girl while dropping her off at school.
The Dubai Court of First Instance found the 35-year-old driver, A.S., guilty of molesting a minor, the 12-year-old schoolgirl and groping her.
When the defendant appeared in court, he pleaded guilty alleging that he "mistakenly touched the girl when he woke her up."
Presiding Judge Al Saeed Mohammad Barghout said the accused will be deported following his jail term.

A Sudanese police corporal said A.S., an Indian, claimed during questioning that the Iranian schoolgirl falsely accused him of molesting her because he lowered the volume of the music while driving her to school.
The 12-year-old testified that the incident happened after her sister ordered a taxi to take her to Garhoud.
"The driver touched my private parts. I asked him to remove his hand. Then he continued driving… two minutes later he touched me again. I yelled at him before he stopped… I was scared and immediately rushed to the school principal and told her what happened," said the schoolgirl.
