Suspect says he did not harass woman on cell phone

Dubai: A suspect has denied misusing telecommunication services by verbally harassing a female supervisor on her mobile and claimed that they had a four month relationship, heard a court.
"I didn't harass her ... she was the one who phoned me since we had a four month relationship," the 29-year-old Emirati suspect, H.R., told the Dubai Court of First Instance.
The Public Prosecution charged him with sending abusive text messages in which he threatened the 25-year-old Emirati woman to malign her reputation, breach her privacy and expose her secrets. He was also charged with harassing her by misusing Etisalat services. The suspect asked the judge to adjourn the case until he brings from Etisalat a letter which confirms his claims 'that she called him repeatedly.'

The woman claimed in her statement to the public prosecution that she did not know the suspect.
She testified: "He harassed me by calling my new number which I issued to avoid his harassment on the first number ... He also once came to my workplace and called me by my name. Later he phoned and said he took pictures of me while walking into my work and threatened to compose naked pictures of me on the computer using photos of naked women he had taken earlier."
The alleged victim claimed: "When I asked him how he discovered my new number, he said his friend helped him get the number. He also warned that he had the capability to get all private details concerning my life. He alleged that he could fabricate voice calls in my own voice ... and he claimed that he can cook up text messages to appear in his inbox as if I forwarded them to his cell phone. He threatened to publish pictures of my wedding."
