Dubai: An Egyptian supervisor has pleaded not guilty to charges of molesting an Indian watchman. He submitted a document to the Dubai Court of First Instance, in which he said the victim has waived the charges.

The 28-year-old Egyptian is accused of attempting to sodomise the 29-year-old victim and threatening to withhold his salary if he did not cooperate.

The victim testified that the incident happened in the washroom of a villa where he worked.

He added the suspect tried to force him to sign on the payroll without collecting his salary. "I told him I don't want my Dh950 salary if you want to sodomise me..." he said.

The victim reported the incident to the police, which arrested the suspect in a sting operation.

The court will reconvene soon.
