Six-member gang arrested for stealing from shops in Sharjah

A gang of six has been arrested for breaking into 40 shops and stealing valuables, police said on Tuesday.

Sharjah: A gang of six has been arrested for breaking into 40 shops and stealing valuables, police said on Tuesday.

A number of robberies have been reported in August from Al Rolla, Al Ghuwair and Al Nabba'a.

The gang was targeting shopping centres and small shops in commercial areas. Police said the stolen items included money, pre-paid phone cards and other goods.
