Ras Al Khaimah: Thick black smoke spread and power went off as the main power generator in Saif Bin Ghobash Hospital exploded on Sunday.

No injuries have been reported.

Old connection and extra load on the generator could have led to the explosion, said hospital sources.

Power was later restored and the situation is under control, said the sources.
