Dubai/Beirut: Dubai Police are on the verge of a breakthrough in the bloody slaying of Lebanese singer Suzan Tamim as she was laid to rest in Beirut on Monday.
Lieutenant General Dahi Khalfan Tamim, Dubai Police Chief told Gulf News: "There is good news."
But he declined to confirm whether arrest had been made in the murder which took place last Monday at the singer's luxury Dubai Marina apartment.
Gulf News contacted Major General Khamis Mattar Al Mazeina, Acting Chief of Dubai Police, who would neither confirm nor deny that an arrest had been made in the tragic case.
In a moving funeral service, Suzan's family, friends and fans bade her a final goodbye. White flowers, rose petals, cries and sobs punctuated Aicha Bakkar in Beirut, which was blocked for the emotional farewell.
