Missing Kerry's brother struggles with visa issues

Dubai: "It is not the end" says David Giles, nephew of Kerry Winter, the South African resident that went missing around six weeks ago, despite visa problems faced by the family.
Kurt Winter, Kerry's brother, has been unable to get a visa issued to re-enter the UAE after he flew back to South Africa with Giles to take care of the family business.
New visa rules mean that Winter can only re-enter the country after 30 days from leaving.
The British male suspect charged with kidnapping and beating Kerry, who subsequently died according to his confessions and court statements, has apparently made a request to meet with Kurt Winter.
"He wants to have a meeting with Kurt but Kurt can't get back into the country," said Giles, who yesterday manned the 'Help Us Find Kerry' stand at Safa Park's flea market.
"He made his request through the British Embassy," said Giles. "Who knows what he wants to say but it's not over until we find her," he told Gulf News.
Kerry Winter, 35, has still not been found more than a month after she was beaten and driven away in her own car by her British ex-boyfriend. The suspect apparently admitted to police that she was dead in the car but claims that he did not kill her.
Mixed versions
His versions of events have been mixed. He initially said he left Kerry by a desert road and later that he had hidden her on his boat as she was injured, and eventually when he found her dead, threw her overboard.
"When he said that it made everybody think, 'well, that's it then she's dead' but it is not the end. Forensic reports say that there is no trace of her on his boat. We are carrying on silently and we won't stop until we find her," said Giles.
