Man stabbed to death in Fujairah

The victim, identified as M.M.G., 22, is believed to be a person without identification papers

Fujairah: A man was stabbed to death in front of a hotel in Dibba Al Fujairah early morning Saturday, a senior police official said.

The victim, identified as M.M.G., 22, is believed to be a person without identification papers. He had some personal differences with the suspect, an Emirati identified as M.M.A in his twenties, Brigadier Mohammad Ahmad Bin Ganem Al Kaabi, Commander General of Fujairah Police told Gulf News on Saturday.

The suspect was arrested four hours after the crime, Al Kaabi said. The type of vehicle, which the suspect used, helped police determine his identity.

Al Kaabi said the stabbing took place at 3:30am on Saturday. The police, who were alerted, took the victim to Fujairah Hospital. But he was declared dead on arrival.

Investigation is under way and the suspect will be transferred to public prosecution on Sunday, Al Kaabi said.
