A senior court official said the father came into the country illegally through the Oman-UAE border and reached his son in Ras Al Khaimah two months ago.

The father who came into the UAE with the intent to work, spent a couple of months searching for work but without success.

The court official said the father lost hope of finding a job and decided to turn himself in to UAE authorities who could take care of his deportation.

The father consulted his son who approved the plan believing that the authorities would handle his father's situation charitably.
